Who we are
Bring Hope is a ministry dedicated to rescuing & empowering at-risk children and youth in Cambodia.
For over 19 years we have been bringing safety, care, love, and real hope to children trapped in poverty and danger.
We work to break the cycle of suffering, prevent them being taken and trafficked, giving them a chance to escape harm and build a secure future with purpose.
Where it all begins
In 2006, Ben McGonagle felt a strong call and moved to Cambodia. He initially worked alongside many trafficked victims who had been taken from the streets of Sihanoukville. Realising the seriousness of the situation, he decided to move to Sihanoukville to prevent children from being taken in the first place.
While walking the streets of Sihanoukville, he met children as young as four years old searching through rubbish piles for scrap metal, cans, and bottles to sell. These young children were exposed daily to constant risk and danger on the streets.
This heartbreaking reality demanded action. We began rescuing these children from this daily threat, offering a way out to safety, getting them established in school and ongoing help so they can succeed.
What began as a small rescue has grown into the mission of BRING HOPE. Through the support and commitment of our partners, donors, and dedicated team, we are able to continue providing safety, love, and real hope to many children today.
What we do
Safe Housing
After they no longer have to be on the streets, we work to make sure their home is safe, repairing homes and offering emergency shelter if needed.
Centre of Hope
Open six days a week, it is a safe place where children can come to play, learn, grow, and share their heart; we provide food, tutoring, mentoring, medical care, and do life with them.
Education Support
We help establish children in schools, covering all education costs until they graduate. Make Disciples - We show God's love, shine His light, and help them to know and fall in love with Jesus.
